Why Walk when you can Plalk!

  • Meet at the Ann & Samuel Sterne Municipal Parking Lot in Bolton. (see details in description) (map)

Why Walk when you can Plalk - Hosted by the Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club, in tandem with ecoCaledon.

As residents of the Town of Caledon, we are lucky to have access to a number of beautiful parks, trails and green spaces. However, how many times have you hit the trails and come face-to-face with an abundance of….LITTER?  Not only is litter annoying, it is also harmful to animals and the planet.

Want to do something about the litter but not sure what? It’s simple, when you get outside, grab a bag and tongs and start “PLALKING”. This clever concept originated in Sweden and the idea is to pick up litter while you walk.

Location (Google Maps): Meet at the Ann & Samuel Sterne Municipal Parking Lot in Bolton. This lot is at the intersection of Ann Street and Sterne Street, with the main entrance from Sterne (across from The Valley and beside Mr. Sub). There is no entrance from Ann Street. We’ll meet at the north end of the parking lot, close to the Humber River. Please aim to arrive around 9:50 am, so we can start plalking as close to 10:00 am as possible. Thanks!
