WASTE CHAMPIONS
LOCATION: CALEDON-WIDE
DATE: THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Do you enjoy walking and keeping your community clean? Join us as a Waste Champion volunteer!
We’re looking for residents from across Caledon to lead “plalking” events - picking up litter while walking in their neighbourhood.
What We Ask of You:
- Live in Caledon
- Passionate about a cleaner community
- Ability to perform litter collection, with or without accommodations
- Connected to your community (or eager to be)
- Ability to use your own municipal bins for collected waste
What’s in It for You:
- Host fun, low-stress events with neighbours
- Enjoy the outdoors while staying active
- Connect more deeply with your community
- Make a visible impact on your local environment
- Build leadership skills
- Earn a Waste Champion Certificate after completing 3 events
Additional Info:
- You’ll receive a Plalking Kit (trash-grabbers, gloves, and bags)
- This is a small-scale clean up - please use your own municipal bins for waste disposal
- ecoCaledon won’t collect waste; contact us for larger clean-up needs
- Submit photos or videos as proof of your event

REPAIR CAFÉ FIXERS
LOCATION: CALEDON-WIDE
DATE: TWICE PER YEAR
Do you enjoy fixing things and helping others? Join us as a Repair Café fixer volunteer!
We're looking for skilled fixers to help repair items and share skills to keep useful stuff out of the landfill.
What We Ask of You:
- Willingness to volunteer at local Repair Café events (twice per year)
- Ability to assess and attempt basic repairs on-site
- A friendly, patient attitude – you're helping people learn!
- Bring your own tools (where possible)
- No need to guarantee a fix – just a best effort and a smile!

- Be part of a fun, positive, hands-on environment
- Free coffee, snacks, and community appreciation!

GENERAL VOLUNTEER
LOCATION: CALEDON-WIDE
DATE: THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Do you enjoy helping the environment and want to make a difference in your community? Join us as a general volunteer!
We’re looking for volunteers to help educate, empower, and advocate for a greener Caledon - everyone’s welcome!
What We Do:
- EDUCATE Caledon residents on environmental issues
- EMPOWER our community to take individual and collective action
- ADVOCATE for better policy and bold climate initiatives
- PARTNER with others working on climate solutions
What We Ask of You:
- Time commitment: flexible, from one-time help to ongoing roles
- All ages and experience levels are welcome
